My Background
It was in a kitchen while on kibbutz, aged 17, that confirmed it. Making 200 meals, three times a day, can make or break you. For me, I knew that food was my future.
For the next five years I worked my way up from a commis chef at fast-paced gastro-pubs to a chef de partie at high-end restaurants. It was while working at a Michelin-star restaurant that I really understood the mark of quality and developed a passion for chocolate. Its ability to be used across the culinary world still amazes me.
Those experiences gave me the knowledge I needed to go on to create, grow and sell a successful confectionery business. The following ten years were spent perfecting my trade, creating and producing chocolate and confectionery for brands including Prestat and Selfridges.
Quality and consistency are my benchmarks, which go hand-in-hand with, wherever possible, full ingredient traceability and responsible sourcing.
